The Department of Community Health is working with CMS to finalize their application for what they are calling the Planning for Healthy Babies Waiver. They are depending upon us to work with legislators to ensure that funding for the required state match is included in the FY 11 budget.
The program is anticipated to begin in January, 2011. DCH needs $1.5 million in state funding for FY 11.
Please contact members of the Senate Appropriations Committee and House Appropriations Committee to urge support for the Planning for Healthy Babies Waiver and for the necessary state match. Please open and read the Fact Sheet and share the information with your networks as well as your legislators.
